Dear all,
I am writing this email to know if you will open positions for posdoc
research in nanonetworks. I have followed your work in the area of nanonet
and found it very impressive, and would like to do a postdoc in this
direction.
Best regards,

Dear Madam/Sir
I am writing to express my interest in applying for vacant PhD position in the
physical layer communication project at your department.
Based in Tehran, I graduated from Master in telecommunication engineering at K.
N. Tousi
University of Technology (KNTU), Tehran, Iran . I am currently employed as a
research manager
at Acom Ertebat Rain Ltd. and I have 17 years of full-time work experience.
On the first phase of my technical activity, I was engaged in programming,
design and
implementation of the first 4 layers in ITUT protocols, namely ISDN and
signaling system no.7
protocol stack, which has a good conceptual resemblance with OSI model. In the
course of this
phase, I had to engage myself with real-time operating systems in order to
design and
implement an embedded communication subsystem. This led me to the design of a
proprietary
OS and then had to converge it with a Linux RTOS.
In the second phase of my technical activity, there was the interconnection of
VoIP network to
the above TDM communication subsystem. This brought me a lot of experience in
TCP/IP
protocols suite for transportation of different signaling messages between TDM
switch and VoIP
network (and NGN protocol stack such as SIGTRAN, MTPUA,MEGACO, MGCP, RTP, SIP..
.).
At this point I had to manage these two different networks by an integrated
management
system. So I was appointed to investigate the design of a network management
system
according to FCAPS model and research about different protocols for FCAPS
implementation
such as SNMP-Vx, Netflow, Netconf, Syslog, ...
In the third phase of my activity, I had to work out the feasibility of a TETRA
network
management system, which was fully based on IP. Here I used my vast experience
from previous
tasks, deploying protocols such as ARP, RARP, IP, PPP, ICMP, DHCP, UDP, TCP,
Http and
especially the different IP routing protocols for the LANs, Enterprise network
and Wan.
As in the course of my professional life, I have always been active in the edge
technologies, I
would very much like to use my experience for the development of new
technologies in the context of a PhD educational course.
Attached are my contact details and detailed CV for your review. I would
appreciate the
opportunity to promote my status through any questions raised in due course.
Thank you very
much for your consideration.
Sincerely yours,
Seyed Alireza Omranian

To whom it may concern,
I am Iñigo Urteaga, a M.S. Telecommunication Engineering graduated from the
ETSI Bilbao (Spain) and currently working for the telecommunications
department at Tecnalia (
http://www.tecnalia.com/en/divisions/ict-european-software-institute/teleco…).
I have experienced both academia and the telecommunications job-market over
these last few years and, as a consequence, I have realized that I want
research to be the foundation of my career plan.
On the one hand, communications and networking, specially wireless, are the
research topics that motivate and inspire me most. On the other, I have
always embraced eager enthusiasm for pure sciences, such as physics and
biology. Emerging concepts as biotechnology, nanoscience or quantum physics
immediately capture my attention and curiosity. That is the reason why Prof.
Ian F. Akyildiz's key-note lecture covering nanonetworking in the past ICETE
2010 conference made such an impact on me. His presentation about the
immense possibilities and challenges raised by nanoscience was definitely
inspiring. Later, as I had the pleasure to be involved in a conversation
with Prof. Akyildiz, he introduced me to this project initiated as a
collaboration between Prof. Ian F. Akyildiz and Prof. Josep Solé-Pareta:
NaNoNetworking Center in Catalonia. Hence, I have been closely following
N3Cat's website and related news since last July.
As matter of fact, this beginning of 2011, I have decided to commit myself
to research and I am now determined to obtain a PhD. I am well aware of the
dedication needed but, at the same time, I am one hundred percent sure that
I want a PhD to be the next step in my career.
All in all, this is my formal inquiry regarding the PhD openings N3Cat may
have in the near future. I attach my resume and I can provide several
recommendation letters upon request: ETSI Bilbao University Professor Amaia
Arrinda; my Master Thesis supervisor at CSM (USA), Dr. Qi Han; and Dr.
Javier del Ser, project manager at Tecnalia. If any further information is
required (transcripts, diplomas, etc.), don't hesitate to contact me anytime
by mail or phone.
Thank you beforehand for your time and looking forward to hearing back from
you,
Best regards,
Iñigo Urteaga

Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Pablo Marcos Oltra. I am a Telecommunications Engineering student
conducting its Final Project/Master Thesis about Wireless Sensor Networks in
the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT), Ireland.
Currently, I am with an Erasmus fellowship in Ireland doing a study of the
beacon-enabled mode of the 802.15.4 and improving reliability and energy
efficiency in Wireless Sensor Networks using TinyOS. I like researching and
I think that your department offers a vey good opportinity to learn and to
participate in the development of nanonetworking. Please feel free to ask me
any question or any more information you could need.
Please find attached my CV and my Transcript of Records.
Kind regards,
Pablo
Dear Sir,
My name is Fatemeh Salar. I have a M.Sc. degree in the field of
Microelectronics. I graduated about 3 years ago from Azad University of
Technology in Tehran, Iran. I have worked as an Electronic engineer and
researcher in R&D Groups in companies. I am interested in your field of
research. I would like to continue my education and research in your
University toward a Ph.D RA. Would you please take a look at my CV and
inform me whether you can accept me as your PhD RA student?
Sincerely yours
