I am writing this email to express my sincere interest in applying for PhD
position in your research group N3cat. I got to know about your research
group from an old advertisement of PhD position on EURAXESS website.
I was intrigued after reading the recent projects and research of your
group because they have correlation with my research interests. Therefore,
I would like to join and contribute to ongoing research of your group.
Since February 2017, I have been working as a graduate research assistant
and pursuing my master’s degree from Istanbul Medipol University, Turkey. I
have completed my course work and I am in the process of defending my
thesis and fully expect to complete my degree by December 2018.
During my tenure as a graduate research assistant I have been working on
wireless channel characterization. I have gained experience by working on
Software Defined Radios with GNU Radio (including USRPs) and ray tracing
simulations for channel measurements and modeling in multiple types of
environment including air to ground channel. With this experience and my
expertise in programming, digital communication, signal processing and
mathematics, I believe that I can contribute well in your lab.
