[Challenge2022] Announcement of the provisional ranking

Dear participants, First of all, thank you very much to all of you for the interest and the efforts you have put in this challenge. After the end of the evaluation phase, we are glad to announce the provisional ranking. You can find it in the challenge website: https://bnn.upc.edu/challenge/gnnet2022 Congratulations to all of you. We are really impressed by the amazing results in this year’s edition. In the next weeks we will work on validating top solutions before we announce the final ranking (by mid-Nov). Top-5 teams will receive a separate email with detailed instructions on how to prepare their documentation. [Challenge2022] Evaluation phase extended - Oct. 18th at 11:59:59 AM CET

Dear participants, We are sorry to see that some teams experienced problems to submit their solutions to the BNN platform during the last day. Consequently, we have decided to extend the evaluation period by one more day. The new deadline to submit solutions is: *Oct. 18th at 11:59:59 AM CET*. Please, note that this is a hard deadline. In case some of you experience issues again with the platform, you are encouraged to send the submission files (in ZIP format) to the following email, and we will check them manually later: gnnetchallenge(a)bnn.upc.edu Please, use this only as a fallback in case the platform fails. We will consider all submissions before the deadline that comply with the limitation of max. 5 submissions in the last 24 hours, or 20 submissions in total. Hi, Since about 10 hours ago I cannot make new submission. The evaluation platform shows a message that a submission is in the queue and will be processed in 2 minutes, but my last submission was hours ago. Could you please check? Thank you

[Challenge2022] simulating bigger networks

[Challenge2022] [BNN Challenge] Issue with the dataset while running quickstart.ipynb

Hi there, I am trying to run the "quickstart.ipynb". I set up a conda environment as instructed and ran the simulations. The dataset is generated. [Challenge2022] datanetAPI fails when dataset name is over 100 characters

Hi, After running simulation i got an error reading the resulting tar file with the DatanetAPI iterator. File "RouteNet_Fermi/datanetAPI.py", line 805, in __iter__ results_file = tar.extractfile(dir_info.name+"/simulationResults.txt") File ".conda/envs/gnnch/lib/python3.9/tarfile.py", line 2113, in extractfile tarinfo = self.getmember(member) File ".conda/envs/gnnch/lib/python3.9/tarfile.py", line 1799, in getmember raise KeyError("filename %r not found" % name) KeyError: "filename 'results_2022-10-03__23-42-06__hard3_lbw_from_traffic-above_bsz_small_2_avgbw_large_1_netsz_10_100x1_p_0.5_29_0_0//simulationResults.txt' not found" But the file simulationResults.txt is present in the tarfile. The reason seems to be that tarfile library adds a slash / character at the end of dir_info.name when the name is over 100 characters. And since DatanetAPI code adds a '/' when calling extractfile, this results in double slash which is apparently invalid. I fixed the error locally in datanetAPI.py by checking if the directory name has / at the end and if yes, to remove it. But i would appreciate it if you update your API so that the samples we submit that have long dir names could still be opened on your end. Thanks
